Xbox games for 2012

 Top Xbox Games for 2012

Modern Warfare 3

The next and possibly final game in the trilogy. Modern Warfare 3 delivers what we expected, an upgraded version of the last - complete with a new campaign and special-operations. The only really 'new' feature is 'Survival Mode'. In Survival Mode, you're given the task of staying alive, whilst fending off endless waves of every harder enemies. You can play it online, split screen or by yourself.

The maps have more defensive cover and tactical parts and have been made more large. They've been given new open and enclosed areas for most maps, allowing again, more tactical gameplay.

While Modern Warfare has been criticized for it's "similarities" with MW2, the game has definitely been made it's own. With new graphics, better sound quality, new guns, new maps, new and older killstreaks, new weapons mods and much more - how can this be in any way, "the same as MW2?" Must buy if you're a fan of shooters.

Gears of War 3

Another end to a war game trilogy, except with a lot more monsters and creepy little creatures. Gears of War 3 is the finale of the GOW trilogy, with the team ending their fight against the locust.

Battlefield 3

The rival of Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield boasts an excellent multiplayer and a new, better than ever and never seen before single player. This isn't a review, so I will not revel into the bitterness of why I both love and hate both games. Needless to say though, you'll have to pick for yourself, having both games is, well, a bit annoying - it's like having two bikes. Pointless really.

Battlefield's campaign is about an interrogation of an officer, where the interrogators talk about a place and the gameplay goes into the place. cough - Black Ops - cough.

Whatever Battlefield fails in on single player, it makes up for in multiplayer. The battlefield campaign gives, in my view, the best shooter game in 2011/12. The maps, perks and guns are much better and newer then Modern Warfare, or any shooter.

FIFA 12

Footballing games don't come much better than FIFA 12, with PES being a second rate game. FIFA12 comes with new, updated teams, which can be updated at any time online and comes with all old features of the game.

New tackling is prompt, which makes it harder for defends to take the ball off attackers. There is also more indepth ways to shoot, pass, tackle and kick the football. FIFA have basically looked at what they could improve and done it - which isn't a lot considering it's a football game.

If you're into football, this is the game for you.

Saints Row 3

My favourite game of this fall. Saints Row has a whole new take on how gaming should be - instead of giving it the old campaign with a bit of fun, Saints Row gives you unlimited access to be crazy.

From flying jets into pools full of orange goo to chucking stink bombs of hookers, SR3 has everything - literally, everything. I know the graphics may need a touch of glam and the story could be a little bit better, but who cares, you have jelly swords!

If you're into fun, action/adventure games - then this is yours. Quick, you're missing out!

They're my top games for this Christmas fall. Of course, we've got a new Fallout on the horizon and the new GTA is only months away from potential opening. Give me your thoughts on these games!
